Gregg Treinish (Born February 16, 1982) is the founder and executive director of Adventurers and Scientists for Conservation, a nonprofit organization based on Bozeman, Montana. ==Background== Gregg was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and received his bachelor's degree in Sociology at University Of Colorado Boulder. He earned a second Bachelor’s in Biology from Montana State University. In 2004, Gregg thru-hiked the 2,174-mile Appalachian Trail. Several years later, he and Deia Schlosberg spent 22 months trekking 7,800 miles along the spine of the Andes Mountains, for which National Geographic named them 2008 Adventurers of the Year. In 2013, Gregg was named a National Geographic Emerging Explorer.
